Recipe Format

OK...so here's the format, but I am open to all and any suggestions. Since I have never dealt with the book printing software, I will see how it works and make any adjustments if needed.

I set the Title font at LARGE, and everything else as NORMAL. I used BOLD for the Title, "ingredients" and "directions". Feel free to number the directions if needed.
I added the picture at the very top, with a full line between the picture and where the Title begins. This is the best way it shows on the print out. To see the print out, you can click on the "posts(atom)" link at the bottom of the page. (I changed the dates of the posts so that the explanation post would remain at the top.) I also think we should label each post. (Which is a "post options" blue link at the bottom of the post when composing.) The labels I would suggest are the following:

Appetizers
Beverages
Soups
Salads
Side Dishes
Main Dishes
Breads
Desserts
Cookies
Candy
Breakfast
Misc.

I think this will make it mush easier to compile. I will be able to combine "Cookies & Candy" under one section when we are done. As a label is submitted, it will appear on the sidebar. This will make it easier to see which label your recipe will fall under. I will post a few more to see if there's any other issues.

I also like cookbooks where there's a description under the Title. I tried this and everything I came up with sounded really cheesy! An example would be...

Ham and Pineapple Kabobs
"Cooked ham and pineapple chunks threaded on skewers and coated with a zesty, sweet glaze."

serving size: 8

It sounds eloquent when someone else writes it, but I just think it sounds ridiculous when I try to. So, if you are feeling brave, I think it would be nice. Maybe someone will be really great at it and can give description ideas. I don't know!

Post or comment with any questions or ideas on this post. I hope that I didn't make it sound too confusing, it really isn't, but I might have explained it kind of crazy. Thanks again!
