White Chip Macadamia Bars or Drop Cookies

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar firmly packed
3 large eggs
3 tablespoons pure vanilla extract ( or Mexican Vanilla if you have it)
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
12 oz. or 2 cups white chocolate chips ( or 6 oz. butterscotch and 6 oz. white chips)
1 or 1 1/2 cups Macadamia nuts coarsely chopped (pecans are also great)
Directions:
For best result do this with the help of children, grandchildren or great grandchildren.
In medium mixing bowl, cream Butter and Sugar together until light and creamy. Add Vanilla and Eggs beating on low until creamy. Add Flour, Baking Powder and Salt to mixture and mix well. Add Chips and Nuts. Cookie dough must be sampled by the children as needed. If there is any dough left, for drop cookies drop unto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-9 min . Let cookies cool about 3 min. before lifting from sheet to cooling rack. (If making bars, spread cookie dough into a 9" X 13' pan and bake at 350 for 27-30 min. Let cool 40 Min. before cutting into squares. Store in airtight container at room temp.
