Basil Maple Carrots

serves: 6-8
Ingredients:
2 lbs baby carrots
3/4 teaspoon basil
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup butter
(touch of salt if you like, I usually do not add any salt)
Directions:
Put baby carrots into a pan with water and basil. Bring it to a boil and simmer until carrots are tender. Drain water completely. Add butter. Let it melt over the carrots. Drizzle the maple syrup over the carrots. Let them sit in the hot pan or on a very low stove a few minutes so the carrots can absorb the maple flavor.
